Corey grew up in a rural mountain town in Washington State and started following Jesus around 1980. Corey has been married to Kristen since 1988, and they have three grown children: Nathaniel Yake, Elizabeth Nelson and Rachel Yake and one grandchild, Phoenix Louise. If you spend some time with Corey his love for history, humor and people becomes quickly evident. He loves nature, hiking and exploring the outdoors. If he wasn’t a pastor he would probably be a Park Ranger. Living in Northern California has given him the opportunity to combine his love for nature and his love for journeying with people in their search for meaning and spirituality which he believers culminates in Jesus. He has a BA from Western Washington University and has been working on a Masters in Church Leadership that he may never finish... but he feels it’s about the journey not the destination.
