The Gathering exists to be an empowering community. To bring freedom and healing from isolation, emotional pain and fear through a relationship with Jesus and each other in genuine human community

Community Values

We hold to Original Christian Spirituality which focuses on Jesus’
New Commandment to Love.

LOVE: Love God, yourself, each other, and your enemy

BE AUTHENTIC: You are accepted for who you are, right where you are at.

FUN: We take Jesus seriously, but ourselves, not so much!
FREEDOM: Life in The Way of Jesus is Freedom; where everything is permitted unless specifically prohibited.

FAMILY: The Gathering family is committed to unity and reconciliation above all else.

WORSHIP: We worship God through creative expression; Art, Music, Dance, Poetry and More because our God is wildly creative.
NON-PARTISAN: The kingdom of Jesus transcends human politics. We work for peace, justice, and equality in our world.

Statement of Belief

We believe in one God,
Creator of the universe,

We believe in one King, Jesus!
Who was born of the Holy Spirit through a virgin
and became human;
Equal with Creator God

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
who with God and Jesus is worshiped equally,
The Holy Spirit fills our hearts at salvation and empowers us for the good work Jesus calls us to

For our salvation
Jesus came down from heaven,
for us, he was crucified and rose from death
He will come again to judge the world with justice and impartiality

We believe in one Christian Church
Forgiven of sin and made holy by Jesus.
We acknowledge one baptism.
We look for the return to life of the dead,
And in the New World to come we will live with Jesus in glory forever.
