Fall sermon series: The Most Unlikely People. How God uses the most unlikely people to fulfill his plan and purpose to expand his kingdom.

A bit about us:

In 2017, when we started The Gathering we set out to create a church for people who didn't go to church or had been hurt by the church. As well as create a safe place for spiritual seekers. Our goal was to remove as many obstacles as possible for people to meet and fall in love with Jesus.

If you have had issues with the church in the past we hope you can find The Gathering a safe place on your faith journey. There's a good bet that the things you haven't liked about the church, the church shouldn't like about itself.

We believe the church should be nothing more than a community of people who follow the teachings of Jesus, who came to show what God was like and to clear the path for people to come back to God.

Corey and Kristen

Corey started pastoring in his mid-thirties and says that was a good thing because of his immaturity he might have been more harm than good to people before that. One of the smartest things he has ever done was marry Kristen in 1988. When you spend some time with Corey, his love for history, humor, and people quickly become evident.

Kristen is a third-generation minister and spent much of her childhood in the jungles of Brazil where her dad was a missionary pilot. She has a passion to see people thrive in healthy relationships. She has been married to the love of her life Corey for over 30 years. They have three grown children and one granddaughter.

We take Jesus seriously, and ourselves not so much
